Cajeput is often referred to as the White Tea Tree of Malaysia where it originates and where it has a long standing history in the healing arts. Closely resembling Tea Tree, Cajeput is renowned for its exotic flowers, pointed leaves, flexible trunk, attractive white bark and its resistance to forest fire. The aroma of Cajeput is similiar to Tea Tree but with a more pronounced eucalyptus note due to its cineole content & with a bit of Rosemary-ish like aroma. It is freshly medicinal, camphorous & fruity. Quite pleasant. A good oil to keep on hand during cold and flu season for its anti viral, antiseptic & expectorant properties. Cajeput helps to clear and stimulate the mind, making it a good oil of choice for concentration. I'm thinking a "focus" or "memory" blend with some Rosemary, Spearmint, Lemon & Basil might be worth a try! Cajeput has also been reputed to be effective in the cessation of smoking.
