Vetivert

This lovely Haitain Vetivert is thick, dark and smokey with deep, rich earth nuances. Along with Labdanum, Patchouli and Styrax Benzoin, Vetivert is a key ingredient in “amber” accords. An absolute must for the perfumer! In aroma-medicine, Vetivert is important for strengthening weakened immune systems and as an all-purpose general circulatory and endocrine stimulator.

Known for centuries as the “Oil of Tranquility”, Vetivert’s calming and soothing properties help dispel heated emotions while reducing stress and anxiety. Dessert peoples reputedly used Vetivert during long treks to help keep them stay cool and grounded. Use a drop or 2 on the soles of the feet and forehead or try it blended with Lime, Coriander, Sandalwood and Rose oil for an aromatically exquisite and cooling natural summer perfume. Divine!  Come to think of it, I probably use Vetivert in almost every perfume I make! I’m personally addicted to Vetivert combined with Lavender in my ritual evening bath. Knocks me right out.
