Honey Myrtle
Honey radiant lemon sunshine in a bottle! Sweet, bold and beautiful, this little known oil is full of lemony warm honey scent with very potent properties. Commonly known as “Banbar” or “Marsh Honey Myrtle”, this plant from the melaleuca family has a long history of use as a bush medicine by the Noongar people of Southwestern Australia. In fact, it has been shown to be more potent than Tea Tree for its purifying properties. What makes Honey Myrtle stand up and shine is its very high citral content. Citral, the synergistic combination of neral and geraniol, is what gives Honey Myrtle its lovely lemon scent and is responsible for much of its anti microbial, purifying and emotionally soothing effects. A little bit truly goes a long way of this amazing oil. *The high citral content in Honey Myrtle can be skin sensitizing so use wisely. LOVE!
