Jojoba oil is obtained from the jojoba plant (Simmondsia chinensis), a perennial shrub that grows in northwestern Mexico and parts of California and Arizona. Our jojoba comes directly from the producer from a farm in Arizona. 100% organic, non-GMO, extra virgin Jojoba. This naturally occurring oil is light golden in colour, quickly penetrating, almost odourless and contains almost every natural occurring form of vitamin E. The oil is actually a liquefied form of vegetable wax that is found in the seeds of the jojoba plant. The scent is slightly earthy but will take on the scent of whatever it is mixed with, making it a perfect base for essential oils. Plus it does not go rancid nor does it have any toxic effect and rarely causes any allergic reaction. It really is the perfect base oil!
