Candeia

Candeia essential oil has a remarkably high concentration of the sesquiterpene alcohol, (–)-α-bisabolol which is present primarily in German Chamomile. Bisabolol is highly valued by the cosmetic industry because of its antibacterial, anti-inflammatory, skin-smoothing and wound healing properties. Due to its wound-healing and dermal permeation enhancing effects, it is frequently used as an additive to nutritive skin care products and aftershaves. It has also been shown to inhibit tyrosinase activity and melanin production, making it an invaluable depigmentation agent in products as well.

For the natural perfumer, this oil has a soft woody-floral aroma with a binding dry out. It plays well with others, acting as a connector and helping soften rough edges.
