May Chang

May Chang from Southeast Asia is a bright, effervescent oil with a pleasant lemony aroma similar to that of Lemon Verbena. Though relatively obscure in Western aromatherapy, May Chang has been used for centuries in Traditional Chinese Medicine and is widely used in Chinese Medical Aromatherapy for tonifying the spleen & kidney, to invigorate blood in the lower abdomen, and for uses in digestive issues. May Chang has pronounced anti inflammative properties and makes a wonderful addition in blends for muscular and joint pain relief. May Chang is a prime choice in many blends for its ability to calm anxiety, its euphoric and uplifting properties, and in its prevention of viral infections. May Changs’ uplifting scent is lovely in the diffuser blended with florals or citrus oils for the home or spa, and makes a prime addition towards many types of therapeutic massage and body oil blends. May Chang blends well with Geranium, Cardamon, Cistus, Frankincense, Black Pepper, Sweet Orange and Lavender.
