Galbanum Co2

Galbanum is an ancient aromatic substance used since antiquity. The Egyptians used it for embalming and in cosmetics. The Romans used it for springtime rituals. In the Middle East it was known as Mother Resin and used for easing childbirth.  All over the ancient world Galbanum was used as an incense in holy places. Galbanum is also reputed  to heal old scars and get rid of wrinkles too! The scent is extremely GREEN. It is the greenest oil I have ever smelled in fact. The scent is richly complex and multi layered, like mulched grass, wet moss and lichen with a bit of fresh, clean compost thrown in. I personally don’t like the aroma of Galbanum straight from the bottle at all. Some people like it but it’s too intensely green for my pallet. In perfumery though, that is another story. It is a Green Goddess! A real springtime oil perfect for renewal, rebirth and regeneration. Blends beautifully with Violet, Lavender, Cypress, Geranium and Oakmoss. Use this oil sparingly as it is very intense!
