Black Cumin Seed is a complex substance of more than 100 compounds, some of which have not yet been identified or studied. A combination of fatty acids, volatile oils and trace elements are believed to contribute to its effectiveness. Containing a rich variety of vitamins including A, B1, B2, B6, C, Niacin and Folacin, Black Cumin Oil is a nutritive addition to skin and hair care formulations. It also contains an impressive array of minerals including calcium, potassium, iron, magnesium, selenium, copper, phosphorus and zinc. The flavour is pungent & peppery but not at all unpleasant. The scent is strong, herbaceous, oily & spicy like the seeds but not altogether distasteful. We advise using a slight hand when adding this product to skin care formulas as the aroma can easily over-whelm. Black Cumin Seed oil displays wonderful anti fungal properties as well and has been used successfully with some of our clients in treating mild foot fungus conditions.
